It is one of the upcoming hill resort and slowly becoming favored place for tourists. Some of the tourist spots in Lansdowne areTip-In-Top, Regimental Museum, The Garhwal Rifles Regimental War Memorial, Durga Devi Temple, Bhulla Tal and Lover's Lane. Lansdowne is located about 180 km from Dehradun present day state capital and 290 kms from National Capital New Delhi.

Lansdowne is located in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand state of India. Lansdowne is originally known as Kaludanda in local language.Lansdowne is one of the quietest hill stations of India and is popular since Britishers came to India.Lansdowne got its name from Lord Lansdowne, who was the then Viceroy of India during the period of 1888 - 1894.Lansdowne was a major place of the activities of freedom fighters from British Garhwal during British period.On 5th November, 1887, the first battalion of Garhwal Rifles migrated from Almora to Lansdowne.The buildings and church of Lansdowne built during British India. The Garhwal Rifles Regimental War Memorial:- Itis Located at the Parade Ground, this museum is a major crowd puller of the town.The Garhwal Rifles Regimental War Memorial at Lansdowne was established on 11th November 1923.

Bhulla Lake: Itis an artificial lake dedicated to the young Garhwali youth of Garhwal Rifles,who contribute their services for our protectionBoating and paddling facilities are also available at Bhulla Tal.

Durga Devi Temple :- is located at a distance of around 25 km from Lansdowne, on the bank of River Khoh. The temple dedicated to Goddess Durga

St. Marry’s Church:-St. Marry’s Church: This artistic church was built by Colonel AHB Hume in 1896. St Marry’s Church fell into disuse after 1947; the building has been restored now by Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre.

Pauri Garhwal:-Located at a distance of 80kms from Lansdowne on the northwest slopes of Kandoliya Hills in Garhwal region of Uttarakhand state in India.Pauri offers the invigorating view of the majestic snow-capped peaks of Himalayan range.

Kanvashram:-Located at a distance of 45kms from Lansdowne. Kanva Rishi Ashram is an important place from the historical and archaeological point of view.

By Air:Jolly Grant which is 150 kms is the nearest airport to reach Lansdowne. There are regular flights from New Delhi.

Rail: Nearest Railway station is Kotdwar, Connected with many other parts of India. Taxis are available from Kothdwar Railway station to Lansdowne.
