Situated at an altitude of about 3,050mts above sea level is a popular Ski destination. Some of the tourist spots in Auli are Gurso Bugyal, Chattrakund, Kwani Bugyal, Chenab Lake and Joshimath.

Auli is also known as a 'bugyal' in the local language which means meadow. The state is called Dev Bhoomi which means Land of Gods. The history of Auli can be traced back to the 8th century. According to beliefs, Guru Adi Shankaracharya visited this sacred place. While walking through the dewy slopes, tourists can enjoy stunning views of the Nanda Devi, Mana Parvat, and Kamat mountain ranges. Travellers can enjoy the views of apple orchards and lush deodar trees from the boulevards of the slopes.Auli is a lesser known hill station when compared to its counterparts - Shimla, Gulmarg and Manali. It gained prominence in the tourist map of India only after the formation of Uttarakhand in the year 2000. The slopes of Auli were the training ground for the Indian Paramilitary Forces and Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force. Auli is 10 km from Joshimath is an ideal winter resort run by Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam.

Gurson Bugyal: is situated at an altitude of 3,058mts above sea level. Gurson Bugyal 3km trek from Auli. Gurson Bugyal picturesque Views of the imposing Himalayas like Nanda Devi, Trishul and Dron parvat are invigorating from Gurson Bugyal.

Kwani Bugyal: is situated at an altitude of 3,385mts above sea level. Kwani Bugyal It is a popular destination with trekkers situated 15kms from Gurson Bugyal.

Joshimath: is situated at an altitude of 1,890mts above sea level. Joshimath is connected with Auli by highest cable car of Asia. Joshimath is the home of Shri Badrinath during winters.

Chattrakund: It is small lake holding crystal clear water. Chattrakund is situated just 1km ahead of Gurso Bugyal.

Kwani Bugyal :is situated at an altitude of 3350mts above sea level in Uttarakhand state. Kawani Bugyal is 15kms from Gurson is another beautiful meadow and is quite popular with trekkers.

Bhavishya Badri: is situated at an altitude of 2,745mts above sea level in Uttarakhand state. Bhavishya Badri is one of the five badri shrines. At the place, tourists can explore the famous lion headed image of Narasimha present in a temple.

Trishul Peak: is situated at an altitude of 23,490 feet. It is situated in Kumaon in the state of Uttarakhand near the district of Bageshwar.The place is known for offering skiing slopes for beginners and is also popular for having the famous Nanda Devi National Park.

Nandaprayag: is situated at the Confluence point of the River Alaknanda and Nandakini. This is a gateway to Badrinath and Kedarnath where visitors can enjoy the beauty of snow-capped mountains.

How to reach:

By Air:Jolly Grant which is 280kms is the nearest airport to reach Auli. There are regular flights from New Delhi.

Rail: Nearest Ralway station is Haridwar, Connected with Delhi, Mumbai and other parts of India. Taxis are available from Haridwar Railway station to Auli.

Road :Connected by road from Delhi and other parts of North India.
